Wine Tasting Sun March 19 3-5PM: Maître de Chai

Join us right here at Howie's Market for an exclusive wine tasting event featuring Maître de Chai (pronounced "MAY-truh de SHAY" but you can just call them MDC) on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 3pm-5pm.

The event is free, and you'll have the opportunity to sample some of the most exceptional wines produced by Maître de Chai.

MDC is known for producing small-production, handcrafted wines that showcase the unique character and terroir of the grapes being sourced from their incredible vineyard partners. MDC's ethos is based on using traditional winemaking techniques and minimal intervention, with an emphasis on sustainability and organic farming practices. They are based in an urban winery in Berkeley, CA.

To add to the excitement, our friend Sasu Siegelbaum from Revel Wine will be hosting the event, guiding you through each wine and sharing his extensive knowledge of the winemaking process. Sasu has years of experience in the wine industry, and he is excited to introduce you to the world-class wines of Maître de Chai.

At our MDC event, you can look forward to sampling a range of delectable wines, including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, a Red Blend, Zinfandel, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Each wine boasts its unique flavor profile, and Sasu will be on hand to provide you with insights into the flavor notes, winemaking and food pairing suggestions.
