This is super simple and a crowd pleaser for those who like to add a spicy kick to their life. It’s not as spicy as you would think considering it has habanero in its title. Usually habanero takes over the entire dish, but not in this case. It has a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The lemon and zest brightens the entire recipe. Although I love this dish, it is probably not for guests who do not like a spicy kick. Serve with your favorite crackers.
INGREDIENTS
2-4 oz Laura Chenel Mango Habanero fresh goat cheese
Handful chopped chives
Handful chopped mint
Zest of two limes
Juice of a little less than half of a lemon
Mix all ingredients until completely mixed thoroughly. Serve with crackers.
Other ways to use this recipe is to top figs with small amount of cheese mixture and sprinkle with extra chopped mint. It is currently fig season, and I have tried this recipe several times with Howie’s Fresh Figs and it’s to-die-for delicious! We would love for you to let us know what you think of this recipe. Enjoy!
